蜜桃传媒 Condemns the Dismantling of DEI Offices by the University of Alabama
MONTGOMERY, Ala. 鈥斕�Today, the University of Alabama closed its diversity, equity and inclusion offices across all campuses. These closures are in lockstep with the 鈥渄ivisive concepts鈥� legislation signed by Gov. Kay Ivey in March, banning DEI programs and training in state institutions.
鈥淎s the reality of this harmful legislation sets in, there is no doubt that Alabama is firmly on the wrong side of history when it comes to academic freedoms,鈥� said听, director of the 蜜桃传媒鈥檚 Alabama State Office. 鈥淒EI programs are necessary to address the historical and ongoing systemic inequalities that marginalize students of color. Closing DEI offices will unnecessarily disrupt educational spaces statewide, while telling students across the country that promoting inclusivity and fairness is not a priority in Alabama.鈥�
