Since then, C28鈥檚 founding members have passed out stickers and flyers at a soccer game in Indianapolis and protested a gay pride parade in Tennessee. During the same month, C28 opened its doors to Christian Identity follower Billy Roper, an old school white supremacist and founder of the ShieldWall Network, who doesn鈥檛 play well with others. (Most recently, Roper accused Brad Griffin, founder of the white nationalist blog Occidental Dissent, of having a multi-racial family, and called white nationalist Richard Spencer a 鈥淕ay loving, Asian dating libertarian.鈥�)

C28 announced their new partnership with ShieldWall Network on their blog on July 6:

We are very pleased to announce that the 聽has joined our Confederation. Billy Roper has been a longtime friend of ours, and he held a chair on our old Blood and Honour AD National Council. We look forward to collaborating with the ShieldWall Network, and befitting from the expertise and decades of experience that Billy and other of their members have.

C28 describes itself as a networking tool 鈥渢o foster unity within the global movement鈥� whose goal is to 鈥減reserve our [white] people and communities,鈥� by planning flyer drives and hosting socials, barbeques, meetings, fundraising and memorial gatherings. Currently, C28 claims to have 10 state chapters and is allegedly, 鈥渁ctively involved in the production and distribution of White cultural material, including: nationalist music, books, and a variety of other literature.鈥� However, it鈥檚 unclear if C28 has produced or distributed any material just yet.

Yet C28 has been active since its inception. The group is also affiliated with newly formed mixed marital arts coalition, Confederation of Volkisch Fight Club (CVFC). Members attended a free speech demonstration in support of confederate monuments in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on July 1. C28 hosted protests against gay pride parades in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Knoxville, Tennessee in June and attended a local white nationalist meeting organized by Matthew Heimbach鈥檚 Traditionalist Worker Party (TWP) on July 8 near Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In what they deemed 鈥淥peration Brickyard,鈥� TWP and C28 members passed out flyers and stickers on the Indiana University-Purdue University campus before an Indy 11 soccer game on July 15 in Indianapolis. Security eventually kicked C28 out of the game after two skinheads in the group gave a Hitleresque Roman salute. 鈥淲e鈥檙e not afraid to meet Antifa wherever they are at, we are in Indiana, we are active,鈥� C28 wrote in its 鈥淎fter Action Report, 鈥� which also expressed strong support for the August 12 鈥淯nite the Right鈥� rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The men behind C28 have unsuccessfully attempted to hide their identities. Unfortunately a photo meant to show current members was actually taken at a 2013 social gathering of the South Knox Ten Milers 鈥� a defunct Tennessee-based white supremacist group headed by Tom Pierce. Dave Nichols, a former Hammerskin member who was brutally beaten at a white power music festival last year, can also be seen in a photo on the blog post, 鈥淐onfederate 28 Protests Knoxville Pride Parade.鈥�

Pierce, once a close associate of Volksfront and a Council of Conservative Citizens board member (his current membership status is unclear), is not new to white nationalism. In 2011, the self-identified white separatist attended a demonstration against drug abuse in Knoxville organized by Blood and Honour American Division, as well as a social gathering in Tennessee.

While the group鈥檚 website is called Confederate Blood and Honour and includes a logo for Confederate 28 (2 stands for the second letter of the alphabet and H is the eighth letter of the alphabet), the group contends that C28 is the leading contact for Blood and Honour (B&H) American Division, a skinhead group named after a slogan used by the Hitler youth movement.聽
