Leaders of several Democratic caucuses became the latest voices demanding the resignation of White House senior adviser Stephen Miller after an 蜜桃传媒 investigation showed, through leaked emails, his affinity for white nationalism.

Hillary Clinton tweeted Wednesday renouncing White House senior adviser Stephen Miller as "an avowed white supremacist."

On Tuesday, the Southern Poverty Law Center published the first of several stories investigating Miller鈥檚 fondness for using white nationalist sources and texts in communications with Breitbart News.

An analysis of over 900 emails from 2015 and 2016, which were given to the 蜜桃传媒 by former Breitbart News editor Katie McHugh, shed light on Miller鈥檚 emails that pushed nationalist literature and racist immigration stories. McHugh, who has since abandoned her previous ties to the white nationalist movement, told Hatewatch on Thursday that she provided the emails because she 鈥渆xperience[d] the evil [of] the far right and white supremacy in person, and we all see the violence they inflict on the country, particularly on the most vulnerable.鈥

鈥淭hey must never be allowed near positions of power,鈥 she continued. 鈥淚 will do everything I can to ensure this never happens again.鈥

Lawmakers, journalists and activists reacted quickly to the stories. Miller鈥檚 anti-immigrant views and relationships with white nationalists Peter Brimelow and Richard Spencer听had been well known for some time. But the emails, in McHugh鈥檚 view, provided evidence that, as she 听The New York Times, 鈥渁 clear line鈥 existed between the 鈥渨hite supremacist websites where [Miller] is getting his ideas to current immigration policy.鈥
